Mindful Yoga, Writing, & Parent Education
Wellness & Words is where my passions for mindfulness, writing, teaching, and supporting healthy families merge.

Certified Kids Yoga Teacher
Infant Massage Instructor
Member, NCFR, National Council on Family Relations
I originally trained as an infant massage instructor in 1997 and taught nearly 50 families before my own babies took all my time and attention. Now I am in the process of renewing that certification so I can again share this beautiful practice with a new generation of parents.
I had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom for many years, and served my community as a La Leche League Leader and Girl Scout Leader. I began teaching yoga to children in 2015, and had the joy of teaching yoga to over 200 children in my first year. In 2016, I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Sarahjoy Marsh and became a Registered Yoga Teacher. Since 2015, I have completed trainings through Next Generation Yoga for Kids, Yoga Calm (Levels 1-3), Yoga 4 Teens, and trauma-informed, brain-sensitive yoga teacher training through the DAYA Foundation, Street Yoga, and Living Yoga.
I am currently working toward a Master's degree in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Infant Toddler Mental Health at Portland State University and recently received the provisional Certified Family Life Educator credential from the National Council on Family Relations.
When I am not studying or serving families, I practice yoga and meditation, read, write, dream of traveling to Italy, and argue and laugh with my husband and three daughters.
